Estonia, The Leading eGovernment EU Country

EU egoverment users

The European Commission has published the latest data of its Digital Scoreboard showing the number of e Government users in the European Union (see attached figure)

Though the median has improved from the first scoreboard, with 2014 data, the number of users of eGovernment applications is still just over 30%. The study accounts for all individuals aged 16 to 74 that live in the country of interest

Not surprisingly, Estonia continues to be the leading EU country, and the nordic countries continue to be in the leading pack.

More surprising may be, for some of the readers, the score of Germany. Only 18.8% of its citizens use eGovernment applications, a level similar to Italy (16.4%) and lower than Poland(25%) or Greece (37.5%)
